This blog is about the Web and what people decide to put on it, and how they do it. I’m going to collect the bits I like the best.
It was started as part of a class called ‘Writing and Editing for the Web’ at the University of Melbourne in 2009. It is a critical assessment of web content, as well as an exercise in online publishing itself.
This is my first semester of a Diploma in Editing and Publishing at the University of Melbourne. As well as studying, I work 4 days a week in professional communications, which involves website project management and a lot of copywriting and editing for the government and private sector.
In the past I have edited and coordinated a media project consisting of a website and magazine in Bangkok. When I first finished my honours degree in history in 2006, I was also a marketing coordinator for Crikey.com.au, coordinating email campaigns and writing pithy marketing copy.
